Joint Doctoral Colloquium with Karlsruhe Institute of Technology

Prof. Michael Beigl has produced over 195 publications, and was an excellent resource for the GEElab staff and students to connect with.

Dr Steffen Walz kicked off the colloquium with an overview on GEELab and introduction to the speakers. Doctoral Researcher Dominik Stampfl presented his "Gameful Urban Mobility" workshop to the guests,  Jens Stober presented a discussion "Hacking as a Playful Design Strategy", before Lauren Ferro and Marigo Raftopoulos, visting from GEElab Melbourne, were also given the opportunity to present their seperate areas of expertise to the KIT audience.

The afternoon provided a chance for the KIT team to summise their research areas to GEElab, which included topics such as "Participatory Air Quality Sensing", "Designing Augmented Reality Systems"and Yong Ding's "Interactive Power Market and Power System".

The day wrapped up with an informal continuation of discussion and a chance for professional networking. A great exchange was had by all.
