Fatma Al Amri

GEElab Australia – Researcher, Educator, and Multimedia designer

 
Fatma has a bachelor degree of Computer Science from University of Kansas (USA) and a master degree of Communication Design from QUT (Australia). She teaches Multimedia courses at the College of Applied Sciences in Oman. She is a doctoral student at the GEElab Australia. With a full scholarship from the Omani Ministry of Higher Education, she is investigating how to motivate the Omani children to read for pleasure using technology. Her PhD project aims at developing an enjoyable reading application in Arabic language that is game-based and suitable for the Omani culture. She hopes that this intervention will contribute to the intellectual development of Oman and the other Arab societies.
