In a Nutshell
At RMIT University's GEElab, we are researching how game design thinking can positively affect and alter architecture & urbanism, mobility, popular media, storytelling, engagement, other sciences as well as society itself.
Hundreds of professionals visited GEElab in Karlsruhe to attend Bizplay 2013 - a symposium exploring how enterprise and marketing challenges can be solved playfully.
Taking place for the second time, Bizplay is making it's mark as an annual knowledge exchange and networking experience amongst gamification media experts, scientists, technologists, and applied researchers. This year's symposium ran on the 1st and 2nd of October, with more than 100 professionals attending the seminars and workshops, conducted by international experts from the US, Australia, and Europe.
Keynote speeches came from Amir Kassaei (CCO, DDB Worldwide) and Maarten Molenaar (Manager, Rabobank). Workshops included Gameful Enterprise, Gameful Health & Quantified Self, Gamification 101 for Start Ups and Gameful TV & Transmedia, hosted by a panel of expert speakers:
Bizplay founder and GEElab Director, Steffen Walz, was thrilled with this year’s attendance and topics and preparations for Bizplay 2014 are underway. The event's motto of “work hard, play hard” is already providing inspiration and motivation!
